Australia is one of the first countries students from Pokhara ask about. You can study bachelor's, master's, diplomas, or English courses in cities with good student life. Many degrees let you work after you finish. We sit with you in Chipledhunga, find a course that fits your marks and budget, then help with the visa papers.

1. Good cities for student life
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and Canberra are popular with students. Campus life, buses and trains, and part-time jobs are easier than in many other countries.
2. Work after your degree
After a qualifying degree, you may get a work visa to stay and work. How long depends on your course and the rules at the time. We check this before you pick a course.
3. Well-known universities
Australia has strong universities and colleges. Degrees are accepted in Nepal and abroad.
4. Part-time work while you study
On a student visa you can usually work up to 48 hours every two weeks during term, and more in holidays.
5. Courses in English
Most courses are in English. IELTS or PTE in our Pokhara classroom is often the first step.
You need a student visa for full-time study. You will need your offer letter from the university, proof of money for fees and living, health insurance, and English test scores if the school asks. We prepare your papers in Pokhara and help you apply online. Rules change — we check the latest rules for your course before you pay the visa fee.
Fees depend on the school and the subject. Medicine, veterinary science, and some engineering programmes sit at the high end. The ranges below are typical published bands in Australian dollars, not a quote for your file. We will price two or three realistic options in the office.

Australia Awards
Australian government scholarships aimed at study and research that support development links. Eligibility and intakes are published each year.
Research Training Program (RTP)
Fee support and sometimes a living stipend for research master’s and PhD students, awarded by the university.
University and destination awards
Many campuses offer partial tuition waivers for international students. Destination Australia and faculty awards also open in some regions. We flag these when we shortlist schools.
Most universities run two main intakes, and some add a smaller summer or trimester start. Which one you use depends on the course, your results date, and how long the visa will take.
Semester 1 / February
The main start. Late February or early March through to June. Many health and nursing seats open only here.
Semester 2 / July
Late July or early August through to November. Popular with students whose plus-two or bachelor results come in mid-year.
Trimester / November
A smaller start at some institutions, often limited to business, IT, or pathway programmes.
Jobs are strong in health, IT, engineering, and teaching. While you study, students often work on campus, in shops, restaurants, tutoring, or offices. After your degree, you may get a work visa to stay and work full-time. Rules change — we check them for your course.
Cities cost more than Pokhara. Rent is the biggest expense. The visa asks for a minimum amount of money — that is not enough for a comfortable student life. Plan for weekly spending on top of tuition.
